“The NPP government has awarded contracts to these road contractors for the development of the various roads in the Bono Region. But they have reluctantly failed to work on any road in the Region since 2017. All these are deliberate efforts to sabotage the government and deprive the Bono Region from benefiting from government infrastructural development”.

He said the Bono Region has enjoyed numerous benefits from the government which includes school feeding programme, planting for food and jobs, Agenda 111, educational infrastructure but the road constructors delay in constructing the roads has made the government unpopular in the region.

“We have enjoyed numerous benefits in the region as a result of the good policies of government which includes but not limited to feeding programme, planting for food and jobs, Agenda 111, educational infrastructure. But the delay in constructing roads in the region have made the government unpopular in the region. As a result of the activities of these road contractors we lost five (5) seats in the last election”.

“We are not going to sit down and watch them frustrate the government’s efforts again. We are ready to transform the lives of our people in the region and therefore would see to it that any project initiated by the government is completed. It is against these developmental projects that the NPP government will win all the 12 seats in the Region. The road contractors must therefore sit up and cooperate with government as they do their work without any attempt to tarnish the image of the governing party. We must develop Ghana for all”.
