
The Brave Warriors of Namibia has produced a sterling performance against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia to record their first-ever win in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

In their group games opener, the Brave Warriors kept the Eagles in their own nest by dominating and possessing all the balls both in the first and second half of the match.
Though the Namibians missed quite a number of chances, they kept the opponents running and finally pushed a goal behind their net in the 88th minute of the game.
The goal by Deon Hotto as the Namibians win their Group E opener becomes the team’s first ever AFCON tournament win in the history of Namibian football.
The game ended in a 1:0 win in favour of the Namibians. The win means the team will climb up to the top of the group standings as they await the results from the match between South Africa and Mali.
