The Dean of students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Prof. Wilson Agyei Agyare, on Sunday, 16th May 2021 urged students who are aspiring to be the next executives for the upcoming elections to create a balance between their studies and political campaigns.
He made the statement during a press conference organized by the SRC Electoral Commission to update students on arrangements as the university prepares to hold its College, Faculty and Department elections later in June.

He noted that being a student leader offers one the opportunity to gain experience in leadership and also enable individuals to develop healthy relations with others in their field of work or society.
“I was once a student and it offered me the needed exposure and experience in terms of student leadership and life after school. But do not let your campaigns divert your attention to your main purpose on campus which is studies”, he stated.
He further disclosed that the University has appointed Six Senior officers to see to the welfare of students off-campus.
