Second year English Student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Richard Kovor who is affectionately called Dr. K has announced his bid to run for president in the upcoming 2021 CoHSS elections.
In a statement released to the media Monday 17 May, Master Richard Kovor (Dr. K) said that his leadership background would help position the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS) as the best in KNUST and the country at large.
Dr. K believes that his extensive line of experience and commitment would shape the college and ensure that the hopes and aspirations of the average CoHSS student is achieved.

The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you, in between, the leader is a servant. I have always felt the urge to serve the people around me, to be a focal figure in their development, which is why even in my first year here on campus, I started serving the people around me.
I begun my journey of service as a course representative at the department of English. My resolve to serve and lead people was enlivened the more after I won the KNUST Eminence Freshers Most Promising Student Award’19.
A look at the statistics and data points out our college (CoHSS) as the most populated college in KNUST. Many a student will agree with me that despite the efforts of our student leadership, there’s more to be done. The college can be more than it is now, with the right direction, support and leadership.
Fellow students, we’re in another semester of handing over the batons of leadership from the old Elijahs to the new Elisha’s, and with my service to the core agenda, I shall not relent on any day as I’m committed to providing you the best of service. With this much conviction I, Master Richard Kovor (Dr. K) declare my intent to contest for the Presidency of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS) for 2020/2021 academic year.
I call on all students to give their unfettered support to the service to the core agenda. My visions, plans and policies aimed at making CoHSS a better one can only be achieved by your support. In one accord, join me, Master Richard Kovor, on a transformational journey to CoHSS this semester. With service to the core agenda Leadership in the history of our college, is about to be redefined!
