It’s that time where we need to vote individuals into power. These people will represent the student body at the administration level of school affairs.
It’s only right that before we do vote for them, we find out who they are as individuals.
Sampson Buabeng who is affectionately called “Y3ntebr3″ is vying for the position of College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS) President.
Sampson served CoHSS from First year as Senate Member and Class Representative till Second year. He then aspired to serve the College as the Organizing Secretary last year of which he was unsuccessful in securing the portfolio.
With the heart and commitment to serve the College, he had an appointment as Publicity Committee member at the College level and Organizing Committee member at the faculty level. He also served as Audit Committee member at the faculty level last year.
Master SAMPSON BUABENG was awarded the best class representative last year(2020). He is an Usher in church and also part of the evangelism and Organizing department of his Church (CASA_KNUST). He has a good heart for God and Humanity.
As CoHSS Senate Member, he was part of the Constitutional review Committee, whom during his tenure of Office, advocated for Women’s Commissioner to be elected of which it was successful.
As Publicity Committee member, Sampson has assisted in the sale of over hundred of the College Lacoste and has helped many students to know about Scholarships and opportunities on Campus including its application.
Students in CoHSS appreciate him for the fact that he is very humble and down to earth irrespective of where he stands. He provided helping hands to students who applied for Scholarships and also guided them for their interviews including EPI, Edu-Fandazoin, Getfund, Kingdom Books and Stationary Scholarship and the Sonsol (laptops) offered by the University.
He is a leader many students believe will help with the development of CoHSS.
Master Sampson has been tipped by many students and various surveys as the next CoHSS President.
