Students of Akenten Appiah-Menkah University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in Kumasi will have to wait a little longer for a new examination timetable.

The students’ second semester exams, which were slated for Monday, August 2, have been rescheduled due to the ongoing strike of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).

Earlier on Monday morning, students had prepared and trooped onto campus to sit for their second semester only to be told the UTAG strike has affected the exercise, hence all subsequent services including conduct of exams have been withdrawn.

Speaking on Akoma FM‘s current affairs and political show GhanAkoma on Monday, President of UTAG at AAMUSTED Dr Stephen Baafour Agyei explained that “the nationwide strike by our members have affected almost all activities on campus including conducting examination and other services, we regret such actions but our hands are tied so we will have to continue our strike until our demands are met”.
