Ghana bids farewell to E.T Mensah

Ghanaians and the political fraternity bid farewell to one of the country’s longest serving Minister, Enoch Teye Mensah, affectionately known as E.T Mensah on Friday, Januray 5, 2023.

During a pre-burial service at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, tributes from former party members, government and the public flew in as the former Council of State member was eulogized.

As a statesman, he served in different portfolios as a Mayor for Accra, a Member of Parliament, a Minister of State, a Council of State Member among others.

The ceremony was attended by President Akufo-Addo, NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, members from the Clergy, family, party supporters and other members of the public.

In a tribute read by the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng on behalf of the State, he described the exploits by the late E.T Mensah as one that needs to be emulated.

“His record in high office is a feat, which the youth of this country should emulate”, he read.

E.T Mensah survived by a wife and seven children.
