Resident pastor of the Christ Bible Ministry International in Accra, Rev. Ofori Jacob has responded to the Ghana Police Service’s prophecy ban reminder saying the Inspector General of Police (IGP) can not gag the mouth of God.
In a release on December 27, 2023, the Ghana Police Servicer reminded religious leaders on the need to comply to the legal framework of the country.
The release reminded religious leaders that their prophecies should be free from fear and panic, and devoid of infringing on the rights and freedoms of the citizenry.
In a respond to the communique on GHOne TV, Rev. Ofori Jacob noted the IGP is a physical law enforcer and not a spiritual one and therefore has no authority over the voice of God.
“When it comes to the Church,the Lord Jesus Christ is the head and he directs what must be done…we are trying to streamline things, however, the IGP is not the regulator of spiritual affairs”, he said.
He, however, acknowledged that the directives by the police service bring sanity into the church and its practices.
