The Electoral Commission of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (CoHSS-KNUST), has opened nominations for the election of new executives for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The deadline for picking nomination forms is Friday, 8th July 2022 and it must be filed and submitted by Monday, 11th July 2022.
Interested persons are to make payment for the nomination forms at the Dean of Students Account Office and contact the College, Faculty and Department EC’s for the nomination form with the copy of the receipt issued by the DoS account office.
For those interested in the Presidential office of the College, they are to pay a non-returnable and non-negotiable amount of GHC 500 to secure a form.
For General Secretary position of the college, aspirants are to pay GHC 450
For the other positions (Women’s Commissioner and Organizer), aspirants are being charged GHC 400.
Others portfolios available at the faculty and department level include president, the General Secretary, Financial Secretary, Organizing Secretary, and Women’s commissioner.
The CoHSS Electoral Commission said in its release that the election is going to be purely based on the Constitution, and therefore, urged aspirants to be abreast with the provisions of the CoHSS Constitution.
