Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has resolved to hold an in-person graduation ceremony this year for the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The in-person graduation ceremony will begin with the graduating class of 2022.
When the pandemic hit in March 2020, many events had to be put aside, including KNUST’s graduation ceremony.
Since then, KNUST has implemented numerous COVID-19 precautions to keep campus safe, holding off an in-person graduation ceremony since 2020.
Consequently, the SRC President, Master Michael Abuah has revealed in his first state of the SRC address on Saturday April 9, that the 2022 graduation ceremony will be held in-person.
Last year, The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) held a Virtual Congregation ceremony to graduate undergraduate and postgraduate students who have completed their respective programmes of study despite other colleges and universities conducting their own in-person ceremonies.
In all, Eleven Thousand and Seventy-Three (11,073) students consisting of Nine Thousand, Six Hundred and Forty-Seven (9,647) undergraduates and One Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty-Six (1,426) postgraduate students graduated.
Fifty-Nine (59) out of the postgraduate students received PhD degrees.
