Ballot papers allegedly go missing at NUGS Congress

There is confusion at the Madina Institute of Science and Technology where elections are to be held to elect new crop of leaders for the National Union of Ghana students.

The confusion comes following allegations of missing ballots.

One of the presidential candidates, Dr. Sylvester Owusu Amoako, who is making the claims, says that the situation is unfortunate.

He is questioning the mechanism that have been put in place to ensure the fairness of the elections.

The former president of the University of Ghana SRC has vowed to be a stumbling block to the commencement of the elections if new ballots are not printed.

“This is not fair, if my people are not here to see to the printing of new ballots papers, we will not allow this to happen. Upon this heavy security, ballot papers are missing, how?” he quizzed.

The electoral commission is currently in a crunch meeting with all aspirants.
