
Outgoing executives of three national student bodies have planned to hold their handing over ceremony on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
The three are the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG), and the National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG).
Earlier, the handing over ceremony for NUGS was slated for Thursday, June 24, 2021, however, it was postponed to Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
NUGS in a statement explained that “this decision to hold a joint investiture ceremony for the new leaders of NUGS, USAG and NAHSAG was reached unanimously at the Union’s National Executive Committee meeting held on Friday, June 25, 2021.”

The joint handing over ceremony will take place at the Cedi (BoG) auditorium at the University of Ghana, Legon at 4pm.
The ceremony will however be preceded by a Leadership training session which will begin at 6:30am.
Prominent personalities who will be speakers at the training session include the Country Director for NIIT – Ghana, Dr. Sujith Jayaprakash, and the Executive Director of NVTI, Mawusi Nudekor Awuti.
Others are Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Finance John Ampontuah Kumah and the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the National Youth Authority, Nelson Owusu Ansah who will speak on the topic “Propelling our march towards effective engagement of the youth in leadership and governance”.
The event will eventually be crowned with an awards night which will see NUGS, USAG, and NAHSAG executives who have served with distinction awarded for their contribution to their respective student body.
