#SaveALife: UG Medical Students make another GHC 20k donation to colleague in KNUST for cancer treatment

The University of Ghana Medical Students Association, has for the second time, donated an amount of GHC 20,000 to Rita Abodoh, a fourth-year medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

This second donation comes after the students presented the same amount barely 14 days ago; meaning that the students have so far raised GHC 40,000 to support Ms. Rita Abodoh as she prepares to undergo treatment.

The University of Ghana students have targeted to raise GHC 100,000 to support Rita.

They are still appealing to the public to support young Rita with donations of any amount.

Rita has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma – cancer in the bone and needs to undergo urgent surgery.

It is estimated that treatment for bone and joint cancers in the US exceeds over $100,000
