Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has announced to students that the University will reopen in January 2021.

This follows His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana’s address to the Nation on Sunday October 18 2020- Upadate No. 18.

President Akufo-Addo announced that the 2020/2021 academic year will resume in January 2021.

Tertiary institutions in the country, especially those that have completed the 2019/2020 academic year, have been waiting for the government to make such an announcement.

Students too have been eager to know when schools will reopen for classes to commence.

During this period of wait, tertiary institutions announced their readiness to commence the 2020/2021 academic year.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, initially proposed to start the 2020/2021 academic year on 31st October.

With President Akufo-Addo announcing that the 2020/2021 academic year will resume next year, plans by the University to resume on 31st October has been thwarted.

According to a new release signed by the Deputy registrar of the University, Y. Owusu Asamoah, the University will in due course inform the members of staff, students, and the general public of the detail arrangements for the reopening of school in January.
