Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has cautioned students who stand in shuttles which convey them to and from the hostels, faculty areas, and halls of residence.
In a statement signed by the University Relations Officer, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, this act goes against the covid-19 protocols set out by the University.
The statement added that, “Management will again like to state that it will not hesitate to suspend bus services if students continue to flout these regulations”.

It has come to the attention of Management that some students stand in the shuttles which convey them to and from the hostels and faculty areas. This is clearly against the laid down covid-19 safety protocols outlined by the University.
Management thus wishes to stress the following points:
1. Shuttles are supposed to load up to their normal seating capacity only.
2. No student is allowed to stand in any shuttle or bus
3. All students should maintain strict social distance at least 1-Meter during the boarding process.
4. There should be no rush during the boarding process.
5. The transport unit should ensure that all students adhere strictly to the above guidelines to prevent covid-19 spread.
Management will again like to state that it will not hesitate to suspend bus services if students continue to flout these regulations.
All students/staff are encouraged to continuously adhere to all covid-19 safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety of all members within the University community.
