
Students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) are electing new executive office holders for their Students’ Representative Council (SRC) today, January 28 2021.

The Interim Electoral Commission of the KNUST SRC is under the chairmanship of Mr. Andrew Anokye Kyeremanteng.
The elections will produce new executives for the President, Vice President, Financial Secretary, General Secretary and Women’s Commissioner offices.
Below are all candidates contesting in the KNUST SRC Elections as published by the Interim Electoral Commission.
Three persons are running for the office of the president. They are Samuel Sesah, Jake Appiah Selassie, and Emmanuel Bright Ampofo.
Agbewu Bright Akwasi, Jean Otoo Jnr, Jackson Amoah Owusu and Osei Fosu Solomon for Financial Secretary.
Setugah Forgive Delali, Rabiatu Siaka, and Rosetta Adarkwah Opoku are contesting for the women’s commissioner office.
In the General Secretary race are Matilda Kodua and Stephanie Ofori Prempeh.
The election will commence at 9am across 18 polling stations on KNUST campus.
Turnout is expected to increase when all lectures end on the campus.
Security has been beefed up at all polling stations.
Polls is scheduled to close at 5pm.
