The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has rescheduled its reopening date for the 2020/21 academic year to Saturday, January 9, 2021.
The announcement was made in a release signed by Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), Mrs. Margaret Dzisi.
The development is in line with President Nana Akufo-Addo’s directives for tertiary institutions to recommence activities for the next academic year in January 2021.
The January 9 reopening date applies to newly admitted and continuing students will report on 16 January.
The announcement also follows the postponement of plans by several other universities to commence the 2020/21 academic year before the end of this year.
The University of Ghana (UG) proposed to resume in November but backed down after the President’s announcement on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
