The interim Executives of the University of Ghana Student Representative Council (UGSRC) has been sworn into office to take over the administration of the Union for the 2020/2021 academic year.
In a short ceremony on Sunday July 12, 2020 held at the SRC Union Building, the Isaac Agyemang-led administration handed over to the interim executives to be led by Mr. Kwame Ntow Fianko.

This statutory ceremony comes days after the Executive committee triggered article 25 clause 7 which allows for the appointment of interim executives from the crop of eligible Junior Common Room Executives.
This is only plausible when the Union is unable to hold elections as is the case this year.
This saw JCR President of the Akuafo Hall, Mr. Fianko being elected among the remaining crop of executive committees to serve as the acting President of the SRC.
The General Secretary of the Mensah Sarbah Hall was also sworn in as the acting General Secretary of the SRC.
Newly appointed Committee chairman of the Finance Committee, Eyram Fenyi was sworn in as the acting Treasurer in accordance with article 25 clause 7.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Fianko said his administration will uphold the statutes of the constitution and safeguard the interests of students.
However, it was not made clear as to the duration of the tenure of the interim executives.
