The head coach of Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak, Kim Grant, has held a brief press conference after losing today’s match against the Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
According to Mr. Grant, his players did their very best today playing against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
During the press conference, the head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak stated that Kumasi Asante Kotoko was able to win the match because most of his players had runny tummy while playing.
He said, the team was treated to a kenkey party few hours to the match.
“What we didn’t know was that the kenkey was fermented. By the time we realised, we had finished consuming the Fermented kenkey already,” he said.
Mr. Grant added that majority of the players started going to toilet but they couldn’t call off the match because the time was too close.
“Some of the players visited the loo about 18 times before the game started. In fact, they were weak but we urged them to go on the field and play the game like that,” Mr. Grant added.
He apologised to all supporters of the club and urged them the team would do their best to win the second leg of the game in Kumasi.
Mr. Grant ended the press conference by saying that the team has learnt its lessons and wouldn’t eat any kenkey before any crucial match.
