
Greeley, CO – The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) has announced an exciting opportunity for prospective students to apply for free on designated Free App Days.
This initiative, aimed at inspiring more future students to earn a college degree, is available to both undergraduate and graduate program applicants beginning Fall 2024.
Free App Days will be hosted on October 1, December 1, February 1, and April 1 each year.
According to the university, applicants can take advantage of these days by entering the fee waiver code UNCFREEAPPDAY when completing their application before 11:59 p.m. MST on any of the specified dates.
This will waive the standard $50 application fee. However, it’s important to note that for graduate or professional programs requiring a CAS application, the CAS application fees cannot be waived.

How to Apply:
- Create your application for UNC.
- Enter the fee waiver code UNCFREEAPPDAY.
- Submit your application before 11:59 p.m. MST on October 1, December 1, February 1, or April 1 to qualify for the fee waiver.
All applicants, including first-year freshmen, transfer students, second-bachelor applicants, and graduate applicants, qualify for Free Application Day.
Prospective students can apply through the Bear App or the Common App. For the Common App, high school students or recent high school graduates who have not attended college should enter UNCFREEAPPDAY in the UNC member questions section.
Next Steps After Applying:
After submitting the application, students will gain access to their student admissions portal, where they will find personalized checklists to complete their application.
The portal will also provide admission counselor contact information and, once available, the official admissions decision
