The National Communications Authority (NCA) has approved application of Space X Starlink GH LTD to operate in Ghana.
A press statement released by NCA on Thursday, April 25, 2024 said “the National Communications Authority (NCA) has approved the application of Space X Starlink GH LTD, operators of Starlink Satellite Broadband, to offer Satellite Broadband Services in Ghana.”
The NCA revealed that “the approval of the application follows the policy approval of the Satellite Licensing Framework in Ghana by the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.”
However, it stated that the administrative procedures needed to issue the license are now in progress and will be finished soon.
“The administrative processes towards the issuance of the licence is ongoing and will be completed shortly.”
