NIA announces new fees for registration services effective May 1

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an increase in the fees for registration services.

According to the authority, the revision of the charges align with the provisions of the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations, 2023, (L.I. 2481). This new charges are set to be implemented starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

“The National Identification Authority (NIA) wishes to inform the public about adjustments to fees and charges for registration services in line with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 2023 (L.I. 2481) passed by Parliament in February 2024,” part of the notice read.

“These adjustments will come into effect from Wednesday, 1st May 2024.”

It is therefore urged that citizens be aware of the upcoming changes while applying for national identity cards (Ghana cards) or updating their personal data.
