The deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and Nhyiaeso Member of Parliament, Hon. Stephen Amoah, has been reassigned to the position of Deputy Finance Minister by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Stephen Amoah succeeds the late deputy minister of finance and MP for Ejisu, John Kumah, who died on March 7, 2024.
However, Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, the Member of Parliament for Achiase, has been named as the Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry by President Akufo-Addo. This appointment is pending prior legislative approval.
President Akufo-Addo in a statement expressed hope that Parliament will, on a bi-partisan basis, “expedite the approval of his nominee, so he can join the Government forthwith, and assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office.”
