The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced dates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to a press statement released by the GES, all heads of basic schools and senior high schools have been informed that the periods for the examinations respectively will be from July 8 to July 12, 2024 for BECE (SC) and July 1 to August 31, 2024 for WASSCE (SC).
“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Heads of Basic and Senior High Schools that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), 2024, for School Candidates (SC) will be written as follows: 1. July 8–12, 2024, for BECE (SC)
2. July 1–August 31, 2024 for WASSCE (SC),” part of the statement read.
The statement added that “WAEC will communicate the period for the registration of candidates for the examinations to the heads of schools in due course.”
The GES further have requested all Regional Directors of Education to forward the information to their Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education in their respective regions.
