
The Guinness World Record has finally responded to Ghanaian Media Personnel, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s longest singing marathon for an individual record.
The response comes after fans of the media personnel and the entire social media kept asking when the results of her attempt is going to be acknowledged.
Afua who is enjoying her stardom amidst ambassadorial deals and celebrity status completed her record attempt on 10th January 2024, making it a 10 day attempt.

In a tweet on February 23,2024, the Guinness World Record has come out with results from their checks into the attempt by Afua. Even though reasons for their rejection wasn’t stated, the world record keepers urged her to take up the challenge again.
“Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans.”
It was reported that Afua paid some amount of money weeks after her attempt ended in order to fast track the checks and review. In their response, the world record keepers mentioned that, the money from Afua’s camp came later after they had already began their review and by that made a refund of the money earlier this month.
“The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts”, the statement added.
