
The Elephants of Ivory Coast will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the first time in an AFCON final on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
This comes after the Elephants booked their spot after beating the Democratic Republic of Congo 1-0.
The super Eagles of Nigeria also succeeded through to the AFCON final after a dramatic penalty shootout win against South Africa with the Super Eagles prevailing 4-2 on penalties following a captivating 1-1 draw over 120 minutes.

Nigeria have lifted the trophy three times, in 1980, 1994 and 2013, while Ivory Coast triumphed in 1992 and 2015.
The anticipated finals on Sunday will be a moment to make history as the Ivorians will be hoping to host and win the tournament making it the third time to clinch the title, the Nigerian side equally anticipates to make it their fourth success story in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
