Government replaces 24 revoked DCEs, makes two additional appointments

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has replaced the 24 District Chief Executives (DCEs) whose appointments were revoked pursuant to a letter from the seat of government dated February 2, 2024.

In a latest release from government announcing the replacements, the president has appointed two new DCEs.

Nana Kweku Abban has been appointed as the DCE for Twifo-Heman Lower Denkyira district in the Central region while Zuh Walter Wogbemase shall man the Adaklu district in the Volta region.

All the new appointments shall take effect following the approval by the various district assemblies.

The release announcing the new appointments said “pursuant to my letter of 2nd February 2024, and in accordance with article 243 (1) of the Constitution, I have made the following nominations to the office of Chief Executive of the following Municipal and District Assemblies, pending their approval by their respective assemblies.”
