
The Chief Executive Officer of Sam and Brothers Company Limited, Samuel Opoku-Mensah joined other successful young entrepreneurs to participate in the Absa Young Africa Works Project capacity building programme in Accra.
The program which is a collaboration between Absa Bank Ghana and the Mastercard Foundation offered young entrepreneurs in the country the requisite resources to scale up their micro, small or medium- scale enterprises.

The three-day program which took place from 8th to 10th September, 2023 forms part of a 5 year (2020-2025) strategic partnership between Absa Bank Ghana Ltd and the Mastercard Foundation to fund and train 5,000 local businesses with the aim of creating 50,000 jobs in Ghana to ensure dignified and fulfilling jobs for young men and women in Ghana.
As a participant, Samuel Opoku-Mensah affectionately called Mr. Sam underscored that the capacity building program was timely in reviving the private sector after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the industry.

“The pandemic have crippled many businesses and the current economic conditions are not friendly to the private sector so this program has offered us the best opportunity on how to revive our businesses again and to make the right impact to society”, he said.
However, Mr. Sam, the young CEO and business owner was selected based on his capacity of creating many employment opportunities to both young and adult across the country as a youth under 35 years.
