
The son of a former DCE and confidant to Jerry John Rawlings, Emmanuel Safo Sadari has been elected as the Savannah regional deputy secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Emmanuel Safo Sadari affectionately called “Peasant/Okatakyie Safo” beat the incumbent, Bahie Amos and two other contenders, as he comfortably take on the position as the party’s Deputy Secretary elect.
Okatakyie Safo polled 87 votes
against Mahama Abu 38, Godsennor Viel 35 and Bahie Amos 55, the incumbent.

According to deputy secretary elect, his message which was dubbed “The Savannah Project/ The People’s Project” was well articulated and embraced by the delegates hence his victory.
He further noted that his victory was “a clarion call to duty, a people to serve and not a position to occupy hence all should get involved”.
Emmanuel Safo Sadari has, therefore, promised to work with his contenders to efficiently enhance the visibility of the NDC, effectively build bridges to connect old Cadres and new faithfuls, and help develop a new outlook for the party for election 2024.
Mr. Safo Emmanuel Sadari is the son of NDC-Former District Chief Executive (DCE) of West Gonja (Damongo-Daboya-Buipe) in the 1990’s, widely known as Mr. Diggi, who was also a close Confidant to former president J. J Rawlings founder of the NDC party and a cousin to former president Mahama.
