25th GUSA Cross Country: Team KNUST arrive in Ho ahead of competition tomorrow

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Cross Country team have arrived at The University of Health and Allied Science (UHAS) in Ho for the 25th annual Ghana Universities Students’ Association (GUSA) Cross Country competition which comes off this weekend –August 13, 2022.

25th GUSA Cross Country: Team KNUST arrives in Ho ahead of competition tomorrow

All Ghanaian universities athletes will be racing in a 10km distance for fame and glory tomorrow.

The KNUST Atheletes Team will have to compete vehemently with Other universities like UCC, UG, AAMUSTED, UDS including UEW who produced last editions’ champion in the shape of Williams Amponsah, who represented Ghana in the just ended Commonwealth Games for the 10,000m and 5,000m respectively.

Speaking to Thriller News GH in an interview,  the Captain of the KNUST Team, Emmanuel Jerry Frimpong Doudo said;

“We’ve trained very hard, and I’m optimistic that Team KNUST would be crowned the champion at the end of the race. The team have shown readiness to do their best and lift up the good name of KNUST once again in this year’s GUSA cross country”.

10 Men and 10 Women were selected to represent the KNUST Team.
