A level 200 student and the General Secretary of the Association of Students of English of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (ASEK-KNUST) took to the streets on Wednesday,18th August, 2021 to feed the less privileged and specially abled to commemorate her birthday celebration.

Azuuga Louisa Awinpiini like a few others in the Ghanaian society is of the conviction that the world can be a better place if we show love, affection and extend a kind gesture to the less privileged and the disabled in the society rather than stigmatizing them.

Speaking to Thriller News Gh during her philanthropic mission, she noted that she could have celebrated her day alone with a few friends but she believes that to live to see a day as such is a blessing from the Lord and as such she has decided to share the little at her disposal and the blessings from the Lord with the homeless, sick and less privileged.

“Even though others may decide to celebrate special occasions in their lives in luxury with family and friends, I am of the believe that the specially abled and the less privileged are a component of society and should be considered as family irrespective of their plight hence should be included during such celebrations”, She stated.

“I am sharing with them not because I have enough as a student but because I know how it feels to have nothing and I hope others will emulate the little I have done”, she added.

Azuuga Louisa Awinpiini was in the company of her friends and colleague students from the KNUST Campus who assisted her on her mission. They started from Tech Junction to the Asokwa traffic lights and ended at Asafo all within the Kumasi metropolis.

She used the opportunity to encourage the category of people she met on the streets and in turn sought their blessings and prayers in her life endeavours.

However, she called on the general public to emulate her gesture by sharing with the less privileged in society and to show them love if not on daily basis but during special occasions in their lives.
