
The vetting of aspirants for this year’s Student Representative Council election at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) went south as members of the Unity Hall, popularly known as Conti, and University Hall (Katanga) clashed.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, July 4, 2021.

KNUST has been in the news and trending on the various social media platforms following the unfortunate incident.
Ultimately, Most talked about and leading Presidential candidate for this year’s SRC election, Master Michael Abuah, has called for calm following the clash.
“I went to church this morning after a successful vetting despite the unfortunate incident that marred what should have been a beautiful event. Our university is beautiful and should never be in the news for the wrong reasons. Let us have the faith to finish”, he tweeted.
