
First year and continuing students residing in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) halls have been asked to vacate their rooms with all their luggage by Sunday, April 25, 2021.
According to a statement sighted by Thriller News GH and signed by the Deputy Registrar (Students Affairs), Ms Lucy Diawuo, the Residence Committee at its Meeting held on Thursday, 15th April, 2021 directed the closure of Halls of Residence and KNUST Owned Hostels during the first semester break. In this regard, all students are required to leave the Hall/KNUST Owned Hostels by Sunday 25th April 2021.
The statement further stressed for students to vacate the rooms with all their belongings and stated that “Students are to note that the University would not be held liable for any loss of items should they go contrary to these directives.”
However, students whose examinations extends beyond the stated period would be required to vacate the said facilities 48 hours after their examination as well as those who for good reasons cannot take all luggage are to contact their Hall Masters/Wardens for assistance.
Meanwhile, International Students who may not be able to travel during the period are to arrange with their Hostel/Managers.
