The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology’s Presidential aspirant, Francis Xavier Ziekye affectionately called by many students as PROF XAVIER has been attacked by unknown assailants.
Narrating the incident to Thrillernewsgh.com, Master Francis Xavier Ziekye said it happened at Tech Junction around 2: 00 pm on Wednesday, 7th April, 2021.
He said his mobile phone was stolen by the unknown thugs who attacked him.
“On the 7th of April,2021, I was attacked at Tech junction upon my return from Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) at around 2:00pm. This incidence happened whiles i was waiting to board a car to my place of residence. In the course of waiting, two unknown criminals came from behind and knocked my hand and unfortunately took away my phone with them. In fact, i did everything within my capacity; by shouting to draw the attention of the people around to grab them. In an attempt by the people to catch them, i was so unlucky that they swiftly escaped”, he said.
According to the CoHSS Presidential Aspirant, this is the second time he has been attacked. Prof Xavier noted that on Wednesday,17th March, 2021 his provisions and other valuable items were stolen from his hostel at Ayeduase Newsite.
“Three weeks prior to this barbaric act, i experienced an analogous incidence, this time, at my residence. Upon my arrival from campus, i realized some miscreants have got away with a bag of rice from my room. The utmost absurdity of the crime was that they filled my drinking cup to the brim with urine and nicely placed on my table”, he added.
Meanwhile, Master Francis Xavier Ziekye has petitioned the Dean of Students over the growing state of insecurity on both the university campus and off-campus.
In a letter addressed to the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Master Francis sought to initiate conversations at the highest decision-making body on campus to reexamine the institutional provision on security to ensure that the safety of students is guaranteed both at night and during the day time.
He has also urged all students to be security conscious wherever they find themselves especially during this period of examination.
