Academic Committee of the Social Sciences Faculty of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), is set to introduce an academic assembly as part of its efforts to help curb academic issues with respect to lectures, examination timetable, small class size, and public address system among others.
In a release dated 26th March,2021 and signed by the Academic Board Chairman, Master Obiri Yeboah Samuel, the event which will take place on Monday 29 March, 2021 at the SOCIOSO Court Room will constitute class reps and academic chairpersons of the various departments of the faculty.
According to the statement, The Academic Assembly when inaugurated shall be charged with the duties to ensure the resolution of academic-related challenges in the faculty.
“This assembly will help curb a lot of Academic issue concerning lectures and exams time-table, small class sizes, public address systems in the classroom”, the statement noted.
It is expected that this initiative would bridge the gap between class representatives and academic chairpersons of the various departments.
