University of Ghana plans to expand internet accessibility on campus

Management of the University of Ghana is planning to expand access to internet on its campus.

The initiative intends to improve WIFI connectivity at lecture halls, libraries, halls of residence, at some hostels including Evandy Hostel, African Union Hostel, TF and at the Banking Square near Night market.

In a bid to expedite academic work, the leadership of the school in collaboration with the University of Ghana Computing System (UGCS) and the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) will put in place an ultra modern system at lecture halls comprising LED screens and projectors.

The student governing body stated that it is working to “reorient and sensitize students on how to properly use the internet at their benefit especially during times like these”.

Head of Academic Committee of the SRC, Mohammed Abdul Salam said his outfit is liaising with UGCS to “roll out online classes to assist students equip themselves with basic Microsoft and other educational software”.
