This however didn’t go well with students and caused a lot of legal battle against the SRC.

Concerned students sued the KNUST SRC for passing a plausible “Illegal” Act which would have the power to act in the stead of the SRC. After numerous legal disputes, the court ruled unanimously in favor of the appellants. The court further authorized the SRC to pass the said Act to the Parliament for proper resolution.

Untimately, the Interim Students Representative Committee was passed in Parliament as an “Act” which has resulted in the designation of Master Abu Ether Ayim as the interim SRC President of the Students Representative Council.
