Reports which filtered in between the hours of 1100 hrs and 1200 hours had it that the KNUST SRC President Mr Adu Baah Charles has been assaulted by assailants purported to be Alumni and students of one of the Traditional Halls on Campus at Popular Rakho food joint Off-Campus.
Unconfirmed reports had it that the President’s assault was as a result of a couple of promises he made to the assailants which he failed to fulfill.
Some of the assailants according to reports were promised the prestigious KBN bursary as repayment for political favors rendered to the president in round up to the SRC elections last semester.
Some students were also promised appointments which they never received and all this contributed to the beating meted out to him this afternoon.
Other people were also alleged to have signed agreements with the President for certain portfolios which they never got after winning the elections.
In other news also assault related, some other SRC executives were also abused physically in a “slap bazaar” on Friday including the Deputy Chief of Staff popularly known as Archimedes in front of Unity Hall during the Hall’s morale session.
