Webometrics World Universities Ranking is a research group that belongs to Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.
According to their 2019 edition of world university ranking, University of Ghana sits on top locally and 19th in Africa. Globally, the premier University, University of Ghana sits 1,447th position.
The University of Education Winneba which has trained most of our teachers sits 6th locally and 6,198th position.
Indicators that were used for the ranking were: Presence, Impact, Transparency and Excellence.
