The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has opened applications for temporary staff as part of its preparations for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
According to the EC, the various positions available includes Registration officers, Exhibition officers, Presiding officers, Registration assistants, Exhibition assistants, and Polling assistants.
“The Electoral Commission wishes to inform the General Public that as part of its preparations towards the conduct of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, it is receiving applications from interested persons for the following positions:
Registration Officers, Exhibition Officers, Presiding Officers, Registration Assistants (Data Entry Clerks and Lamination Officers), Exhibition Assistants, Polling Assistants (Verification Officers, Ballot Issuers and Name Reference List Officers),” a statement from the EC read.
However, in a Twitter post on April 15, 2024, the EC stated that the deadline for the submission of applications is set for Monday, April 29, 2024.
The EC added that selected candidates will go through a three-month training program to become acquainted with the electoral procedures.
Interested persons are advised to email the chairperson of the EC with their curriculum vitae (CV) and application letters.
In addition, candidates should specify the roles they are seeking for and which region, district, and constituency they desire.
